EUCALYPT BANJOS

EUCALYPT 6 STRING BANJOS
Only $2,640 Australian Dollars incl GST
($2400.00 AUD for overseas purchasers)

Identical in every way to our 4 and 5 string resonator banjos this instrument offers tremendous scope for the guitarists amongst you. You get the banjo sound using your guitar techniques and tunings. Great for flat picking, backup, jazz, Dixie, blues and maybe a bit of fun in a rock band.

All photos on this page are thumbnails, including those on the sidebar to the right.

Here's the back side of the peg head showing the Gotoh machine heads.

A back view of a Eucalypt 6 string banjo. The neck is Queensland Maple with Jarrah stripe and the resonator is Maple burl. The two inlayed gum leaves and centre strip are standard.

The front of the peg head. The Eucalypt logo is inlayed in pearl into the PNG ebony veneers.

All the usual Eucalypt Banjo goodies come with our 6 string banjos, the D'Aguilar Bell tone ring, all Australian timbers, Gotoh 12:1 machine heads, spare strings, strap, hard case and a lifetime guarantee.

Here's what one Eucalypt 6 string banjo owner, a full time professional musician, has to say:-

"....played at the pub again today to rave reviews of the older guys who have heard banjo players for years of all descriptions. It carries well throughout the band to the back of the pub ( if you need to) so you can't ask for more than that and it's not harsh when you play it hard ....It'll be a pleasure to rave about your banjo to the guys over there it's a lovely instrument, regards, David"

ALL EUCALYPT BANJOS ARE STILL  BUILT BY HAND!

The vast majority of the work going into a Eucalypt Banjo is still done by hand, the good old fashioned way.

Although we have the usual machinery such as lathes and bandsaws much of the work is still done by hand.

I'm very much a fan of vintage hand tools and am slowly building up a collection of them as I see them for sale. You can see a 60 year old multi-plane in use on the 'Making our banjos' page. This is still used to cut the groove for the truss rod and, may I say, it works superbly.

Finally, here's Angela trying out her Eucalypt 6 string banjo the day she came to collect it.
