ACCURATE FRET
SLOTTING
The key to
perfect intonation. |

The fearsome looking
machine in the above thumbnail is our fret slotting jig.
It works similar to a radial arm saw with a small
engineers slotting blade being pulled across a set of
steel rails.
The small blocks you can
see under my right hand have a locating hole into which
a pin drops to establish each fret position.
As each slot is cut the
carriage is moved along to the next position ready for
another cut. Simple and accurate every time!
